We're recruiting on behalf of a small, family owned construction business with a reputation for graft, loyalty, and looking after their team. Values of projects range from £000's to their largest currently being £8million. Because they're small, they invest heavily in the people they bring in. You won't be a number. You'll be trusted, supported, and given the chance to learn more, take ownership, and genuinely be part of the business as it grows. Ideally, you'll be based around the Reading, Swindon / Chippenham areas, but strong candidates from further afield will absolutely be considered, especially those who are comfortable working away from home when projects require it.

The Role

As a Working Site Foreman, you'll lead site operations while working hands on alongside the team. You'll be the person who keeps things moving, maintains standards, and ensures each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and co-ordinate site labour and subcontractors
  • Carry out hands on construction work as required
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Maintain site safety and deliver toolbox talks
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines
  • Manage materials, equipment, and daily site reporting
  • Report progress to the Project Management Team

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' construction experience, including supervisory responsibility
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and site processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Confident leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence
  • SMSTS (preferred but not essential)
  • First Aid (preferred but not essential)
