We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry. The position of Technical Compliance Coordinator will work with a committed & energetic team, gaining the opportunity to learn, train and develop technical compliance knowledge to begin a successful career within the industry. The position will work closely with the Site Technical Manager with a focus on one of the company's largest fresh produce product categories.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with all members of the technical compliance team, to offer support to the team and work accurately to administratively manage a variety of technical compliance data and information.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all products produced on site are compliant to food safety, quality and legal standards (BRCGS, Global Gap, Red Tractor, customer standards, specifications etc.)
  • Manage, develop and drive continuous improvement through the internal audit programme against 3rd party and customer standards
  • Control and manage non-conformities and corrective actions, ensuring root causes are addressed
  • Assist managing pest control for the site in conjunction with the pest control provider
  • Support the Site Technical Manager in the management, creation & monitoring of technical projects
  • Participate in the company HACCP team and other working groups as appropriate
  • Support the Site Technical Manager in the development and management of the food safety and quality management system
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a technical compliance function within the fresh produce or food sector
  • Customer facing experience would be advantageous
  • HACCP Level 2 - ideally higher
  • Food Safety Level 2 - ideally higher
  • Internal auditor training
  • TACCP/VACCP trained - this can be provided
  • Familiarity with retail and BRCGS food safety standards
  • Degree or similar qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous
  • Driving licence required

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm, office based. The post holder will need to be flexible with their working hours due to the seasonal nature of the business and due to operations 7 days a week.

Location: West Sussex

Salary: Up to £37k dependent on experience offered.
