Field Service Engineer – Exeter Candidates living near the following locations are in an ideal location for this FSE role: Axminster, Ilminster, Taunton, Minehead, Barnstaple, Hatherleigh, Okehampton, Plymouth & Dartmouth My Client is looking for a new addition to their Maintenance team due to expansion, this Client has been extremely busy and has just secured another new contract, so if you are looking for a move to a secure and stable business who are experiencing growth then this could be what you have been waiting for. If you are a hands on individual who is Health & Safety conscious and are looking to use your trade of DIY/ Carpentry/ Electrical/ Construction but do not want to be based on one sole site all the time, then this role offers the opportunity for variety. The aim is to for this person to take on jobs to ensure the safety of equipment and most importantly the maintenance of our Clients equipment at commercial premises. This role is a hands on role, a scheduler will have produced all your work for you (and allocated where you need to go on a weekly / daily basis) and you simply dial into your app/mb and off you go to do your job! Due to their reputation it is important the Field Service Engineer is customer service orientated as you are the ambassador for this Client and thus should treat Clients with respect and a courteous disposition, uniform and logo's van will be provided . The role of Field Service Engineer will involve: * Travelling to Clients sites repairing and fixing any issues (you will be issued with a company van and company uniform for all business purposes) * Carrying out Site surveys with regards to work required or carried out * Ability to work with hand tools and other related equipment ( a role as a maintenance person or engineer / construction / or DIY is essential for this role due to the duties you have to undertake) * Electrical experience (would be an advantage but is not essential) * Skills in communication of technical issues is important as you will need to communicate with your customer and colleagues * Understanding of organising and planning work situations on customer sites * Possess the ability to follow internal processes * Ability to solve technical problems and/or recommend effective solutions * It is your responsibility to ensure stock is maintained on your vehicle – all your stock will be delivered to you or on site so you do not need to visit Head Office to pick up material etc * A can do attitude is essential within this role as is resilience and taking ownership and accountability of tasks and workload * To be an Ambassador, representing the Company in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. Due to working on site the following are required: * CITB /SSSTS * CSCS Skilled Worker Card * Full British car driving licence * And be willing to travel to various locations anywhere in the UK with the very occasional overnight stay – your main area of responsibility will be in Exeter and surrounding areas as mentioned above, however, a willingness to assist in other locations is required Hours of work are Monday – Friday contracted to 40hrs week occasional overtime at weekends and over holidays where overtime will be paid Competitive salary depending upon experience Company van and mb provided To ensure that your application receives the fullest possible attention, it is essential that you consider carefully the role that you are applying for, please ensure that your CV contains all relevant information about yourself in relation to the specific role advertised.
