Taylor Lane Timber Frame, a manufacturer and supplier of timber frame buildings, is seeking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. This exciting opportunity will be based at our head office in Hereford and is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual from a construction background to develop their career and support the business across three production facilities and on-site during installations.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, fully expensed company car and contributory personal pension scheme. Responsibilities:
- Carrying out HSE visits, inspections and audits at our premises and construction sites around the UK
- Providing advice and assistance to ensure operations are fully conversant and working in compliance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures
- Developing and directly providing internal HSE training and monitoring delivery of other operational training
- Developing the HSE management system and documentation for use by the businesses
- Working closely with our Operations and Construction Directors, devise and implement projects of a health, safety, or environmental and technical nature
- Conduct accident and incident investigations
- Provide regular HSE related reports to senior management
Desired Experience:
- On-site experience within the construction industry at trade or technical level and in a health & safety position
Desired Skills:
- Be a good communicator, self-motivated and ambitious to succeed
- Be willing to take ownership of workload
- Have good administrative and report writing skills
- Have a high standard of IT literacy in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Have a drive to learn and develop
Desired Qualifications:
- CMIOSH (or Grad IOSH and working towards) and qualified to NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, i.e. NVQ Level 5 or 6 or accredited degree. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate will be acceptable for the right candidate, with relevant experience
- Other formal health, safety or environmental, training or auditing qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
