For a graduate level candidate (or equivalent) looking to develop a career within the Lloyd’s insurance market this would be an excellent opportunity. Previous exposure to the insurance world is highly preferred, possibly through work experience or temping. A level maths and some coding experience (SQL, R, VBA) would be highly beneficial.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Extracting client data from broker systems.
- Analysing client data using database reporting and bespoke analytical tools to assist with pricing.
- Contract data entry.
- Liaise externally with the broking community.
- Carry out day-to-day administration in support of the underwriters.
- Frequent exposure monitoring and reporting.
- Calculation of loss estimates from both real and theoretical events from current, past and future contracts written by the company.
- Realistic Disaster Scenario reporting to the board.
- Catastrophe modelling and data analysis to support reinsurance purchase.
- Ad hoc project work as required.
