Reinsurance Technician – Responsibilities
This leading Lloyd’s underwriters has an excellent market reputation and offer a dynamic but extremely friendly and inclusive working environment combined with a generous benefits package. They are now looking for an experienced Reinsurance Technician to join their City of London operation.
The main purpose of this role is to help administer reinsurance recovery activities for a syndicate and an insurance company in addition to providing renewal information to assist in the purchase of reinsurance coverage.
- Reinsurance recoveries for excess of loss, proportional and facultative accounts
- Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes as per contract terms and conditions
- Premium Adjustments, Profit Commission & NCB calculations
- Manage collection and payment of recoveries and premium, and manage aged debt
- Compliance with the Reinsurance Administration Department’s month/quarter end deadline requirements
- Produce Risk and Claim bordereaux to support reinsurance accounts
- Produce renewal presentation information
- Respond to Broker/Reinsurers queries in a timely manner
- Cover note administration, including the recording of reinsurance information into in-house systems
- Review of tasks completed by outsourcing partner
- Project work including assistance with the testing and implementation of new software and processes and release testing of current systems
- Review and update procedure manuals in an accurate and timely manner
