Overview
In this role you will own and evolve the end-to-end payment card ecosystem across two brands and ~800 locations, ensuring secure, resilient operations and commercial effectiveness.
You will lead a small technical team and act as the subject matter expert for payment technologies and fintech solutions.
You will partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives, drive improvements, and uphold PCI DSS and P2PE compliance.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end payment card processing environment across two brands and ~800 locations
- Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, and security of payment services
- Manage payment acceptance technologies (terminals, switching, gateways, acquiring, loyalty, mobile payments)
- Oversee strategic relationships with third-party suppliers (network services, terminals, switching, service desk)
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations; lead supplier performance reviews
- Provide third-line technical support and act as senior escalation point for incidents
- Maintain operational procedures and technical documentation; ensure PCI DSS and P2PE compliance
- Lead delivery of payment-related projects and strategic initiatives; coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and define solution architectures
- Own two mobile applications and two loyalty platforms from a payment/technology perspective
- Drive security improvements, P2PE implementation, and compliance activities
- Support security audits and remediation activities
- Serve as SME for payment processing, card schemes, acquiring, terminal tech, and fintech solutions
