The Network Engineer is required to work within a highly skilled Infrastructure team to deliver exceptional 3rd line support to the global infrastructure network and deliver various network projects within tight timeframes.

37.5 hours per week between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. Part of on-call rota, working one in every 4 weeks. A willingness to travel is essential (domestic and overseas).

It is essential that you have a CCNA level certification, at least 3 years minimum experience within an IT support role and able to demonstrate an understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN and associated protocols eg BGP, OSPF.

It would be desirable to have hands-on experience working on multiple vendors including Cisco & Meraki (Firewalls, AP's and Switches), working within the Service Now framework and a knowledge and application of ITIL processes.

The role involves:

  • Proactive monitoring of IT systems and preventative measures taken to reduce system downtime.
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Test business applications, network, and server performance, provide performance statistics and reports, develop strategies for maintaining and improving core infrastructure.
  • Work with Project Management to deliver site deployments/moves.
  • Adherence to all IT security policies and assistance in enforcing and monitoring of IT security policies.
  • On-call rota & regular weekend network maintenance.
  • Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
