We are looking for a Financial Reporting/Tax Accountant to work for a global trading business based in Canary Wharf.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in preparing the UK and Ireland working papers for quarterly reporting with review by the Manager Tax and/or Director Tax.
- Supporting the Tax team in the preparation of SOX and SAO testing.
- Preparing Country by Country and Controlled Foreign Companies reporting for the UK and Ireland.
- Preparing the UK GAAP tax disclosures for the statutory accounts and the annual corporate tax returns for UK and Ireland companies.
- Assisting in the review and reconciliation of the external transfer pricing report.
- Assisting with the workings for the UK and Ireland tax payments.
- Engaging in Tax advisory work with the team to provide the Europe business with direct tax advice as required.
- Communicating with various internal and external personnel to obtain the information needed to ensure complete, accurate and timely indirect tax reporting.
- Supporting the Direct Tax team by assisting with Ad Hoc projects or tasks when required.
- Maintaining an accurate tax calendar for the direct tax team.
- Performing Tax research and staying abreast of forthcoming changes.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
- Ideally fully qualified in Accounting or Tax (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA) but candidates working towards full qualification will be considered, with support provided for accounting and tax qualifications.
- A minimum of three years relevant work experience.
- Advanced skill using Microsoft Office programs, particularly competent in using Excel including look-ups, pivot tables, etc.
- SAP experience preferred.
