The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Supporting the work package and Engineering work stream for the OSP work package.
Planning and executing of the structural work tasks
Preparing/ validating structural concepts designs
Preparing technical specifications
Plan and lead structural clarification meetings incl. documentation of the results and actions
Participation at work package meetings/ jour fixes and if required at work stream and project management meetings/ jour fixes
Planning, supervising, (participating at) expert and supplier meetings
Alignment with other work packages, presentation of proposals to the Work Package Manager(s) and Work Stream Lead(s)
Ensuring the structural work tasks are delivered in accordance with the requirements such as budget, timelines, quality, HSE, applicable laws, regulations and consent stipulations and codes and standards
Escalating problems which cannot be solved on lead engineer/ expert level to the Work Package Manager
Coordinating structural related interfaces and stake holders, such as other work packages, work streams
Providing required in and output of the work package to internal and external StakeholdersRequirements
Detailed and specific knowledge and experience in design and execution of
Offshore steel structures (calculation, welding) preferably for Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) foundations and topsides
Safety and fire protection concepts for passive fire protection (walls, doors, windows, hatches etc.)
Corrosion protection of steel structures and equipment
Weight control
General knowledge and experience in;
Building integration
Material handling
Operation and Maintenance ("maintenance free", simple, access to areas, working space, replaceability etc.)
Good interface knowledge and understand needs of stakeholders;
HV/MV Electrical equipment and cable integration and arrangement
LV/ Aux equipment and cable integration and arrangement
Transport and Installation
Certification
Knowledge and commitment to HSE in general and specific to the Work Package responsibility
Experience in offshore civil/ structural steel design and related interfaces, preferably for OSP in at least one previous large infrastructure project
English oral and written fluent communication skills
Hands on mentality and strong impulse to solve issues on working level and perform the work autonomously
General Project Management knowledge (IPMA Level D or comparable recommended) or practical Project Management experience of at least 2 years
People skills, ability to lead by example and to lead without disciplinary (line) authority
Ability to professionally interact with external stakeholders as relevant for the Work Package, for example in the supply industry (for technical Work Packages), authorities (for consenting Work Packages), politics and public at large (for stakeholder engagement Work Packages)
Good business ethics and general knowledge as relevant for Work Package, for example negotiations, law, contracts, consenting as well as the electricity generation and offshore industries
