Mandarin Speaking Cost Accountant - Solar in Glasgow

Opportunity for a Mandarin speaking professional to join a global leading renewable energy (PV) manufacturing company as Cost Accountant, or Senior Cost Accountant, based on experience. Visa will be sponsored. Location: on side, willing to locate to South Carolina.

Cost Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and estimate costs of new and existing product lines.
• Partner with management to develop and maintain cost standards and costing methodologies.
• Evaluate production costs, including labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and inventory valuation.
• Prepare and support month‑end close activities, including cost‑related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review, reconcile, and maintain inventory accounts; investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Conduct and support physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and recommend cost‑effective strategies to management.
• Prepare and present cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with general ledger preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or Accountant in a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and general accounting procedures.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a close‑driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 识别成本节约机会，向管理层提出成本优化及降本建议。
• 编制并向管理层汇报成本分析、差异分析及盈利能力分析报告。
• 确保会计处理及财务报告符合相关会计准则、内部控制及合规要求。
• 配合内外部审计，并协助总账相关工作。

任职资格

• 具有成本会计、成本分析师或相关会计岗位的工作经验，制造业背景优先。
• 熟悉成本会计原理及一般会计流程。
• 具备ERP系统使用经验（如 NetSuite），并熟练使用 Excel。
• 具备良好的分析能力，注重细节，数据准确性高。
• 具备良好的时间管理能力，能够在结账周期内按时完成工作。
• 会计、财务或相关专业本科及以上学历。
