Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Investment & Financial Modelling Analyst to join our client's team in Madrid. In this fast‐growing platform focused on developing low‐carbon energy solutions, including green hydrogen and its derivatives, you will contribute to the evaluation and development of investment opportunities by building and maintaining financial models, supporting strategic decision‐making, and helping optimise project economics.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop complex financial models from the ground up for both greenfield and brownfield projects, including operating models and capital structures.
- Analyse and optimise key value drivers to enhance project profitability and operational performance.
- Support the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and internal reporting materials.
- Assist with transaction processes such as project financing and M&A, including valuation work, structuring analysis, and coordination with external advisors and lenders.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, transaction services, or corporate development, ideally within energy or infrastructure.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including experience with revenue/cost modelling, project finance structures, tax considerations, and valuation techniques.
- Interest in or knowledge of the power and renewable energy sectors is highly valued.
