Electrical Design Engineer for a major offshore wind project in The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- The consultant will support projects at various phases by conducting studies.
- Create and validate EMT and RMS models for relevant assets (e.g., WTG, PPC, STATCOM, as applicable).
- Plan and execute design and Grid Code compliance studies, small disturbances and fault scenarios.
- Draft clear, audit-ready technical documentation for internal review and external compliance; contribute to grid‑connection workstreams.
- Interface with OEMs on model provisioning, validation, and parameterization.
- Summarize findings, recommend mitigations, and ensure quality in line with Ørsted standards across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (BEng/MSc/PhD) or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' hands‑on experience with PSCAD for EMT studies, including applicable add‑ons and analysis modules, plus required experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory covering steady‑state and RMS analyses.
- Experience working with vendor models and parameterization for compliance.
- Scripting/automation skills for workflows and post-processing.
- Experience coordinating with OEMs for model delivery, validation, and updates.
- Strong data confidentiality practices.
