Civil Engineer Onshore for a major Offshore Wind Project based in The UK.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of technical documents / papers for internal review
  • Preparation of employer’s requirements and technical specifications
  • Management of contractors and subconsultants to ensure that their output meets HSSE, quality, and technical requirements in an adequate, economic and efficient manner
  • Oversight of the complete Substation civil/structural design, as developed by consultants and contractors, including all interfaces with other disciplines, from planning drawings through FEED to the completion of detailed design
  • Ensuring that the design and the as-built substation meet all consent and regulatory requirements
  • Support to the project during the Detailed Design and Construction phase
  • Input into the definition and execution of onshore ground investigations, site surveys and walkovers
  • Oversight of the logistics plans and onshore transportation routes for all onshore substation related activities
  • Giving technical input to other project functions in your area of knowledge/expertise
  • Participation in project team meetings and cross-disciplinary co-operation
  • Participation in procurement activities associated with onshore civil works in the project
  • Define, identify and manage key interfaces between the different work packages and ensure they are captured in technical requirements and broader contract documentation

Requirements

  • Degree educated in engineering or a related field with approximately 10 years experience
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status
  • Successful track record in the delivery of onshore civil works for the power industry
