Civil Engineer required for a major renewables developer based in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, engineering, and delivery of civil works associated with offshore wind and energy island infrastructure projects.
- Review and coordinate civil and structural designs for onshore substations, converter stations, cable landfalls, and associated facilities.
- Manage geotechnical, topographical, and site investigation activities to ensure suitability of proposed designs.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering disciplines.
- Review contractor designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Monitor construction activities and provide technical support during the execution phase, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Support the development of technical specifications, scopes of work, tender documentation, and contractor evaluation processes.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk management workshops.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards.
- Manage technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare engineering reports, progress updates, and technical presentations for project management and clients.
- Support commissioning and handover activities related to civil infrastructure assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, power transmission, offshore wind, renewable energy, or industrial construction projects.
- Experience with substations, converter stations, cable infrastructure, marine structures, or offshore energy developments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, geotechnical engineering, drainage, foundations, and earthworks.
- EU National.
- Fluent in English and Danish.
