WTG Package Manager for a major Offshore Wind Project based in The United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the management of the WTG package including tendering of WTG, leading contract negotiations, managing the WTG supply contract after signature and delivery of the whole package scope (engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning) until handover to operations.
- Lead the WTG package team after CfD award to FID.
- Provide a strong interface towards WTG suppliers with procurement, drive tendering and WTG selection in accordance with the project timeline and in line with the client’s standard requirements.
- Implement a comprehensive approach to HSE and quality management in accordance with the company’s established management systems for the WTG Package.
- Plan and control package budget and align with commercial functions, identify, mitigate and control WTG-related risks and align within the Risk Manager.
- Actively drive lessons-learned exchange with WTG packages in other projects and throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree from an accredited university in electrical or mechanical engineering or closely related; Master’s degree preferred.
- Sound technical knowledge of large electrical/mechanical systems.
- At least 10 years of track record in project management positions for large infrastructure or energy projects, including specific experience on delivery of WTG packages for offshore wind farm projects.
- Project management certification welcome.
