HV Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Manage interface between HV services contractor and SEL/SPT/VESTAS/IAC contractor.
- Liaison with HV services contractor Lead SAP to coordinate energisation activities.
- Participate in package meetings to understand each scope and have a full overview of package needs in terms of energisation.
- Review and audit the HV services contractor HV safety rules and supporting procedures.
- Attend HV safety committee meetings.
- Be part of the HV safety rules authorising panel.
- Close collaboration with the Contractor Commissioning Teams and HV services contractor team to effectively produce and plan the Commissioning Switching Programmes to facilitate the first time Energisation of equipment and subsequent live Commissioning tests.
- Liaison with Client O&M team to develop HV safety for the O&M phase.
- Assist with the development of the overall windfarm single line diagram.
- Participate in programme meetings and develop an energisation programme.
Requirements
- 10 years SAP/Control Engineer experience
- Extensive knowledge of Power Systems, equipment, SCADA and Protection Systems
- Previous experience working for or alongside Siemens Energy, National Grid or Scottish Power Transmission
- Previously held a similar position either for Client or Contractor
- Worked in High Voltage Substation up to 275 / 400kV and held Authorisations (minimum Competent Person)
- Electrical apprenticeship and higher education in electrical systems
