Diving Specialist required for a major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in the United Kingdoms.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that diving operations are complying with national diving legislation.
- Ensure that diving operations are complying with clients\’s Diving requirements and IMCA Guidelines.
- Ensure that diving operations are risk assessed correct and carried out as safe as possible.
- Ensure that diving a diving project plan has been developed and reviewed.
- Ensure that all diving equipment is included in a PMS system and in-date.
- Ensure that the diving contractor can recover an unconscious diver and that a recovery exercise has been performed and accepted by client prior to any diving operations.
- Ensure that the dive team is qualified to the intended job and that members are carrying necessary certificates/training.
- Check dive logs daily and view subsea video recordings for health, safety, and quality issues.
- Contact authorities (in countries where this is required) to receive a permit for the planned offshore diving operation.
- Verify and ensure that diving industry – industry standards and guidelines, company policies standards and relevant procedures are implemented, documented, communicated, understood, and enforced for all operations.
- Close outs of all diving systems design audits.
- Analysing dive statistics and proactively propose suggested improvements.
- Interface with contractor and other stakeholders to ensure diving HSE issues are addressed in all operations.
- Participate in all project HIRA\’s.
- Act as focal point for project daily operations and technical support.
- Participate in and expedite all diving incident investigations to share expertise and ensure close-out and corporate learning.
- Periodically visit the worksite to engage with the offshore team and carry out inspections.
- Have a complete knowledge of all the pertinent governmental regulations, company policies and standards to which the company adheres and ensure that all rules and regulations are followed.
Requirements:
- IMCA Air or Saturation Diving Supervisor or IMCA auditor certificate.
- 15 years diving managerial experience related to renewable / O&G industry.
- Shall be thoroughly familiar with IMCA ACOP\’s
- Technical skills in, Subsea installations, Cable intervention, Survey and inspection work.
- 3 years or more recent experience as a diving advisor / diving operations manager supporting offshore diving operations.
- Fully familiar with underwater inspection / construction techniques and equipment.
- Conversant and has kept up to date with all relevant IMCA guidelines, as well as IOGP diving recommended practices.
- Be familiar with relevant legislation / guidance in country of project/operations in relation to underwater operations and safety e.g., IMCA Guidance, UK HSE ACOP, IMO regulation
