DCS Engineer required for Carbon Capture storage project based in The Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for the Distributed Control System (DCS) and associated automation packages.
- Review, validate, and troubleshoot DCS logic, control narratives, cause & effect matrices, and alarm philosophies.
- Support loop checks, functional testing, and system integration across process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Ensure all DCS-related systems meet project specifications, safety requirements, and operational readiness standards.
- Provide technical oversight during FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
- Support the integration of package control systems into the main DCS.
- Participate in punch list management, resolution tracking, and handover documentation.
Requirements:
- Commissioning, completions, or operational readiness of control systems.
- Oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or large infrastructure projects.
- Experience with compressor stations, gas processing, or similar high-integrity process facilities.
- Hands-on expertise with major DCS platforms (e.g., Emerson, Honeywell, ABB, Siemens PCS7).
- Ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary EPC environment.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in an international project setting.
