OSS Structural Engineer for a major offshore wind developer based in England.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of technical documents/papers for internal review.
- Preparation of employer\’s requirements and technical specifications.
- Manage OSS Foundations and Topside design studies such as FEED or detailed designs performed by external parties, ensuring that HSSE and operational requirements are appropriately accounted for in the designs and that quality requirements are met.
- Support to the project during the FEED, Detailed Design and Construction phases.
- Coordinate integration of other input into optimizing OSS structural solutions, such as that obtained from foundations installation consultancies and other advisors.
- Support the OSS package manager in ensuring that interfaces with other OSS relevant disciplines, packages, contractors and stakeholders are identified and appropriately managed.
- Contribute to the identification and management of technical risks, issues and impacts to the project associated with the OSS scope as well as potential synergies and opportunities across OSS and WTG foundations scopes.
- Liaise with experts within the JV shareholders to ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learnt from previous projects.
- Lead technical evaluation of proposals and evaluation of suppliers as part of tender processes in coordination with the OSS package manager and the commercial team.
- Prepare internal reporting as required.
Requirements
- Be degree educated in engineering or a related field with approximately 10 years\’ experience.
- Be chartered or working towards chartered status.
- Experience and knowledge of offshore wind OSS is essential, in particular within structural design.
