Onshore Consents Manager for a major offshore wind project in The United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Support the company Onshore Consents Lead on onshore consents and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Coordination of input to DCO Examination relating to Onshore EIA & Project HRA.
  • Interface with the company engineering team.
  • Support contract management with environmental consultancy service providers.
  • Deliver commitments within the company Statement of Community Consultation (SoCC).
  • Attendance of Community Liaison Groups.
  • Onshore stakeholder communications & meetings.
  • Support onshore stakeholder engagement, communications and community engagement initiatives, including delivering community benefit packages.

Requirements

  • Appreciation of technical, commercial/contractual and policy aspects of connecting large infrastructure projects to the grid.
  • Stakeholder / Relationship management skills in a similar environment with stakeholders.
  • Planning, environmental or geographical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in the renewables or other relevant infrastructure sectors.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of onshore planning/consenting/DCO activities relevant to offshore wind farms.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, identify solutions, influence stakeholders to enable a successful implementation.
