Lead Offshore Consents Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland
Responsibilities
- Management and execution of the consent strategy and project management for all offshore elements required to achieve development consent for the Project.
- Reporting to the Consents Team Manager.
- Leading and supporting the development of the Offshore Consent Manager.
- Management of consultants and liaison with the wider consents and project team.
- Providing consenting advice and managing offshore consenting risk for complex workstreams.
- Lead engagement with key external stakeholders.
Requirements
- A background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology.
- Direct experience of consenting and preferably experience of NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues coupled with a solution minded outset.
- Skills to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce high quality work to deadlines and work flexibly to respond to changing priorities.
- Work effectively both independently, and as part of the team, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
