Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector needed for a Major Offshore Wind project in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as client representative during inspections for electrical, instrumentation, control & automation vendor packages.
  • Review vendor quality deliverables including ITPs, QC plans, as-built documentation, NCRs, and punch lists.
  • Monitor and verify compliance with Employer's Requirements and international standards.
  • Witness inspections and testing activities including FATs, hardware/software tests and electrical inspections.
  • Conduct risk-based inspection scheduling, aligned with the QC Coordinator and Package Lead.
  • Support engineering teams with quality-related queries and technical documentation review.
  • Facilitate remote inspections using video systems such as HoloLens.
  • Track and report all quality deviations, manage open points and follow-up actions.
  • Perform frequent international travel to vendor manufacturing facilities in Europe.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate inspection results clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in QC inspection in electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Strong offshore background - Renewables, Oil & Gas or Maritime industry.
  • Proven experience inspecting Switchgear, breakers, transformers/bushings, electric drives and motors, automation and control systems.
  • Confident reviewing ITPs, QC plans, FAT procedures, NCRs.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards: BS, IEC, ISO, ATEX, API, EEMUA.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to challenge suppliers respectfully and professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving capability - identifies issues and drives recovery plans.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation accuracy.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Must live in the Netherlands and have valid right-to-work.
  • Valid driver's licence for NL/EU.
  • Willing to travel frequently across Europe for vendor inspections.
  • Comfortable working hybrid - 2 days/week at Arnhem office.
