HV Cables Lead for a major offshore wind project in the uk Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and advice on all relevant aspects of HV cable design for Onshore Export, Offshore Export, and Inter-Array Cables, as well as other interfacing packages.
Prepare technical documents and papers for internal review.
Develop Employer s Requirements and technical specifications.
Manage subconsultants, ensuring HSSE requirements are incorporated into the designs and that quality standards are achieved.
Review and critique cable FEED scope and deliverables.
Support the project during the Detailed Design, Installation, and Commissioning phases.
Contribute to design interfaces, including cable installation, cable rating analysis, and electrical system integration.
Participate in technical discussions with consultants, suppliers, OEMs, installers, and other external stakeholders.
Participate in project team meetings and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Identify opportunities to improve designs and propose alternative technical solutions to add value.
Requirements Experience in Cable Burial Risk Assessment (CBRA), cable protection, cable burial, routing, and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) installation.
