Power System Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Project based in England.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and validate EMT and RMS models for relevant assets (e.g., WTG, PPC, STATCOM, as applicable).
  • Plan and execute design and Grid Code compliance studies, small disturbances and fault scenarios.
  • Draft clear, audit-ready technical documentation for internal review and external compliance; contribute to grid-connection workstreams.
  • Interface with OEMs on model provisioning, validation, and parameterization.
  • Summarize findings, recommend mitigations, and ensure quality in line with the clients standards across multiple projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (BEng/MSc/PhD) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' hands-on experience with PSCAD for EMT studies, including applicable add-ons and analysis modules, plus required experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory covering steady-state and RMS analyses.
  • Experience working with vendor models and parameterization for compliance.
  • Scripting/automation skills for workflows and post-processing.
  • Experience coordinating with OEMs for model delivery, validation, and updates.
  • Strong data confidentiality practices.
  • Strong communication skills; able to produce clear reports and stakeholder materials.
