Flexographic Printer Up to £35,000 DOE Telford We are seeking an experienced and motivated Flexographic Printer to join a high-performing production team within a leading flexible packaging manufacturer. You will operate wide-web flexographic printing presses, producing high-quality printed packaging for a range of consumer and industrial markets. You will work on the continental shift pattern, which includes days and nights. The Role Set up and run flexographic printing presses (Uteco 876 & Uteco Onyx 810), ensuring all job specifications are met Monitor print quality throughout production runs, performing quality checks and adjustments as needed Conduct colour matching, plate mounting, ink mixing, and viscosity control in line with work instructions Ensure materials (substrates, inks, plates, sleeves) are prepared and loaded efficiently Perform routine press maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting to minimise downtime Adhere to health and safety policies and operational standards at all times Accurately complete production documentation and shift handovers Collaborate closely with print assistants and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflowThe Person Previous experience operating flexographic printing presses, ideally in a packaging or label manufacturing environment Strong understanding of printing processes, substrates, and colour control High attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Flexible approach to shift work and overtime when required NVQ Level 2 or above in Print Production (desirable) Experience with solvent-based inks and working in a cleanroom or BRCGS environment (desirable Familiarity with print job management systems or ERP (e.g., Radius, EFI) -desirableSalary and Benefits A salary of up to £35,000 is on offer for the role and is dependent on experience, 22 days holiday (rising with years of service) plus bank holidays, company pension and life assurance, health cash plan, Mental health support and employee wellbeing initiatives, ongoing training and support, cycle to work scheme and more
