An established and growing UK-based manufacturing company in the architectural and specialist glass sector is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance operations. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic business that prides itself on delivering high-quality products to commercial clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing 2 staff, accounts assistant & purchase ledger clerk
- Managing cash flow for two companies
- Bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Managing supplier payments and direct debits
- Raising sales invoices
- Supervising chasing of outstanding debt, including monthly project sales applications
- Chasing release of retentions
- Supervision & review (and preparation when necessary) of weekly/monthly payrolls and year end close down
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including analysis of project costs & liaison with surveyors
- Supervision of quarterly VAT Returns
- Preparation of P11d’s
- ONS reporting as required
- Management of credit insurance limits
- Management of accounting software packages
- Liaising with external accountant
- Liaising with bank
- Liaising with Directors
Key Requirements
- Experience running finance ops within an SME environment
- Accounting qualification preferred but not essential
- Construction experience is highly desirable
