A well-established construction business is looking to appoint an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Group Financial Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and project-driven environment where finance plays a key role in operational success. The business turns over around £150m annually and you will be joining a finance team of 12. There is tangible progression to Group Financial Controller in the short term.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board reporting packs.
- Lead on project cost tracking and reporting, including WIP and margin analysis.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury reporting.
- Oversee key balance sheet reconciliations and control processes.
- Work with commercial teams to ensure accurate project accounting and reporting.
- Supervise junior finance team members and support ongoing development.
- Identify and implement process improvements and support systems enhancements.
Requirements
