Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements for a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for clients, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, and other taxes) for clients, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate directly with clients to obtain financial data and provide ongoing support, ensuring their accounting records are up to date and accurate.
  • Bookkeeping: Oversee bookkeeping and accounting records for clients, including the preparation of trial balances, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Audit Support: Assist in audit assignments, including the preparation of audit files, conducting substantive testing, and liaising with clients.
  • Advisory Services: Provide support for clients on business and tax planning, including assisting with general advice on their financial positions.
