We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our Cover Production Team. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to manage, create templated, and quality-check book covers and related marketing materials. The ideal candidate will play an important role in ensuring all outputs meet high-quality standards and align with brand guidelines. This role will require the successful candidate to attend our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire (OX14 4RN) at least three days per week.

Responsibilities
- Artwork Preparation: Transforming existing design concepts into production-ready files, ensuring specifications such as bleeds, crop marks, and resolution are accurate for end-use.
- Asset Management: Resizing, retouching, colour-correcting, and formatting images and graphics for various platforms.
- Quality Control: Conducting thorough proof checks to identify visual or textual errors, ensuring all materials adhere to strict brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Partnering with designers, editorial teams, and marketers to receive briefs, manage feedback, and ensure project alignment.
- File Organization: Setting up, managing, and archiving design files and asset libraries to maintain efficient workflows and version control.
- Internal Liaison: Communicating with internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Ad-hoc Support: Responding to urgent requests for minor amendments, file sourcing, and general artworking tasks as needed.
- Deadline Management: Managing schedules and ensuring all projects are delivered on time.
- Distribution: Preparing and delivering electronic files to relevant parties.
- Research: Conducting picture research and performing image manipulation to support design projects.
- Systems Management: Updating and maintaining databases, extracting and manipulating data, and ensuring systems are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in artwork preparation, including knowledge of production specifications such as bleeds, crop marks, and resolution.
- Attention to Detail: Strong quality control skills, with the ability to identify and correct visual or textual errors.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers where necessary.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and archive design files, maintain asset libraries, and ensure smooth workflows.
- Deadline Management: Proven ability to manage schedules and deliver projects on time.
- Software Proficiency: Good knowledge of design software (InDesign and Photoshop) and systems for updating databases and manipulating data.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to handling urgent requests and supporting the team with ad-hoc tasks.
- Research Skills: Experience in picture research and image manipulation.
