The Role
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Press Brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components while ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Press Brake machinery to bend and form metal components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
- Load, position, and align materials accurately to specification
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure consistent quality
- Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment and quality standards
- Carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines
Candidate Requirements
- Previous Press Brake operating experience (essential)
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong measuring, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
