Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Injection Mould Setter / Supervisor on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Injection Mould Setter looking to take the next step into a supervisory role, or for an established Supervisor seeking a new challenge within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
As the Night Shift Injection Mould Setter / Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the night shift operation, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the night shift production team
- Set, adjust, and optimise injection moulding machines to IMT Level 3 standards
- Monitor product quality and carry out in-process quality checks
- Respond to machine faults and process issues, escalating where required
- Manage stock levels of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
- Complete detailed shift handovers, including production, quality, and downtime reports
- Train, support, and develop production operators
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Act as the senior point of contact on site during the night shift
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within an injection moulding or similar manufacturing environment
- IMT Level 3 Setter qualification (essential)
- Previous experience setting injection moulding machines
- Supervisory or team leader experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment
