THE JOB
We are looking for a designer with experience in the events sector to expand our team to create and implement events and experiences globally. We specialise in creating unique and bespoke experiences for our customers. This is a fast paced business that is growing and gives the opportunity to be part of something truly exciting.
Reporting to the Head of Creative, working in a friendly helpful team of designers, this is a new role to expand our current team. Our designers manage their own projects as well as working as part of a team with our 3D visualizer and graphic designer. You will be responsible for projects from start to finish including briefing, developing concepts, sourcing suppliers, project management and bringing these designs to life onsite. The role would entail visiting sites and being client facing, representing Taylor Bennett and working alongside our project management and registration teams.
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team on a varied portfolio of projects (exhibition stands/conferences/events) with project management and budgeting experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has appropriate design qualification(s) or proven portfolio.
- At least 3 years’ design experience.
- An understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills including presentation skills.
- Knowledge of production, build methods and materials would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
THE SKILLS
Think creativity differently - we are really looking for someone to add to our team and bring fresh, new ideas. We do also work collaboratively with our projects so a different design perspective is always great to have.
- Creative concept generation.
- Experience working in both 2D and 3D.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop etc).
- Knowledge of AutoCad or similar.
- Knowledge of 3D Max, Cinema 4D, Sketchup or video editing is a bonus.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. (Mon – Fri, Office open 08.00 – 18.00 with early/late option available)
Location: Based in a beautiful barn in the Hertfordshire countryside, own transport needed due to the office location. Home working is available on an ad hoc basis around event requirements.
Travel: UK and worldwide which may include evening and weekend work.
Salary: Dependent on experience, more experienced candidates considered.
