Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive who has a passion for financial services and the world of communications to join our London office. Our SAE’s are responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of integrated programs, working with Account Managers, Senior Account Managers and other leaders to execute programs and tasks, on‑time and to the Vested standard.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to provide proactive consultation to the client on integrated marketing and communications methods (paid, owned, earned or shared)
- Identifying areas of improvement related to client delivery, such as streamlining organizational processes and pursuing further education related to the clients’ business.
- Works with the account managers and account leaders to ensure they understand the ultimate objectives of both strategy and tactics
- Developing ideas for integrated work and content across print, digital and social media
- Ability to craft strong creative, media, and brand narratives
- Demonstrates an increasingly working knowledge of multiple channels and how to execute programs across channels
- Build and maintain media lists, create, pitch, and coordinate news release templates and distribution
- Compile, measure, and track metrics across multiple platforms
- Developing strong working relationships with clients as well as Vested team members
- Reviewing work being produced by the team to ensure output is up to Vested standards
- Works toward becoming an expert on their client’s business and Vested’s role as a strategic communications partner
- Supporting the team by assisting with research and brainstorming sessions
- Preparing account service‑related documents such as meeting agendas, meeting reports, proposals and other client communications and correspondence
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Expressed knowledge and interest in financial services public relations or integrated marketing communications
- Bachelor in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or at least 4 years of related working experience
- Previous financial services PR or Marketing Communications experience, preferably with clients across personal finance such as mortgages, savings, insurance and banking
- Experience in media monitoring, list building, trend spotting, conducting outreach, and monitoring for coverage
- Experience of media relations efforts, including developing and drafting pitches and long‑form content
- Shows ownership over their work – quickly works to correct mistakes and focuses on delivering high‑quality output
- Leverages existing skill sets and proactively identifies how to tap into these skills on behalf of clients
We are a fully flexible agency but due to the nature of this role, we are seeking candidates in the London area and who can operate from our London office as needed. Hours are Monday through Friday starting at 8 am GMT.
