Do you want to join an expanding landscape business which has a large and expanding commercial landscape and civils department? This is a varied role within the Estimating department and will provide the platform to develop and learn other areas of the business.
- Interpretation of hard and soft landscape drawings.
- Accurately measure PDF drawings using software Bluebeam (training will be provided if required).
- Produce bill of quantities in our estimating software Conquest in accordance with specifications.
- Identify areas of risk during the tender process and present them to the Pre-Construction Director and Managing Director.
- Request quotes from our supply chain.
- Attend site visits and tender meetings with clients as required.
- Communicate with clients and submit quotes.
- Follow up quotes and opportunities.
- Maintain strong and professional working relationships with existing clients and help to build new relationships with new clients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. They will be efficient with an excellent eye for detail and be a great team player. Experience in preparing and submitting Soft/Hard Landscaping or civils groundwork tenders is a minimum requirement. Educated to Degree/OND/HND or similar in construction, quantity surveying, hard or soft landscape construction, or horticulture is desirable but not necessary. Good organisational skills and time management to help meet tender deadlines are essential. A full driving licence is required.
