DEPUTY MANAGER/ HORTICULTURAL MANAGER
Our client is a well thought of London based garden centre business with a number of sites in and around London.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager who can work with the Manager of this site and oversee the Horticultural Department.
The role will include:
- Operational management: Works with the Garden Centre Manager to manage the retail space and Garden Centre environment optimising the customer experience, team member work environment and commercial contribution.
- Team management: Supports with the recruiting, motivation and day to day management of the team ensuring the successful delivery of the annual Garden Centre objectives.
- Business planning: Supports and contributes to the annual business plan for the Garden Centre to clarify the financial ambition.
- Customer care: Resolves customer issues and complaints to bring about effective resolution and encourage customers to return.
- Resource management: Ensures an efficient management in resourcing the Garden Centre to optimise the customer experience and cost management.
- Business development: Works in collaboration with the local community and other internal departments, concession partners to create customer offers and events that inspire customers to visit and buy.
Qualifications: Horticultural qualifications desirable.
Experience: Supervisory experience within a customer-orientated retail environment essential. Horticultural experience.
