Our client are a long-established family owned manufacturer specialising in repair and re-upholstery services. Our commitment to quality and safety has made us a trusted name in the industry. We are now seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join our production team in Cwmbran.

Role Overview

As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality upholstered products using a variety of sewing techniques and industrial machines. This is a hands-on role in a focused, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble upholstered products and textile components.

* Follow patterns, technical drawings, and instructions accurately.

* Perform stitching, hemming, binding, and other upholstery-specific sewing tasks.

* Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.

* Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

* Work with a range of fabrics and materials, adjusting machine settings as needed.

* Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in upholstery or a similar sewing machinist role.

* Proficient in operating industrial sewing machines for upholstery work.

* Skilled in handling varied fabrics and precise upholstery techniques.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

* Ability to resolve minor technical/machine issues.

* Comfortable working independently and managing repetitive tasks. xiskglj
