TAY Recruitment are seeking an experienced Certified MIG/TIG Welder to join our client’s established manufacturing team based in the Rhondda. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out welding tasks to meet drawings, specifications, and production requirements
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding (including stainless steel); brazing experience is an advantage
- Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in welding, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Competent in MIG, TIG, and brazing techniques
- Confident using hand tools, power tools, and standard welding equipment
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable
- Mechanical understanding for basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
