We are looking for a proactive and skilled General Maintenance Operative to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering repairs, reactive works, and preventative maintenance across a variety of company-owned properties, including self-storage facilities, office buildings, and retail parades across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading private self-storage providers. We are a fast-growing, well-established organisation with a strong presence across South Wales and the Midlands, with ambitious plans for continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities
You will carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including:
- General building repairs (roofing, cladding, etc.)
- Plumbing
- Joinery
- Tiling
- Painting & decorating
- Carpeting
- Paving
- Drainage works
- Grounds maintenance & site clearance
- Pressure washing
- Furniture assembly & removal
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a building trade or property maintenance role
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
- Cladding and roofing experience (desirable)
- CSCS card (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet KPI/SLA deadlines
- Competent using IT systems to record work and expenditure
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures and point-of-work risk assessments
- Strong communication skills to minimise operational disruption
