This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Facilities professional looking to join a fast-paced and professional environment where no two days are the same.
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office environment. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workplace while delivering excellent support to both internal teams and external contractors.
This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable, approachable, and happy to take a hands-on approach to office operations. Please note this role involves regular manual handling duties, including moving supplies, furniture, and setting up meeting rooms, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the day-to-day management of office facilities
- Conducting daily and weekly office inspections, reporting any issues identified
- Managing office equipment ordering and replenishment
- Carrying out internal mail distribution and office runs
- Supporting office health & safety checks and reporting findings
- Assisting with ad-hoc facilities and operational tasks as required
- Previous experience within Facilities, Office Services, or Workplace Support
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Ability to manage physical/manual tasks when required
- A team player with a positive and professional attitude
