What we look for
We’ve developed some of the most advanced tax technology in the world, and we’re excited to continue growing our team — that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a full-time Senior Operations Specialist – U.S. Onboarding to join us remotely and support our international operations. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teammates across the UK, Hungary, and the US, while maintaining availability during EST business hours.
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced individual in U.S. sales and use tax to oversee and execute U.S. sales tax onboarding for our clients.
This is a senior/leadership role where you will directly manage one team member initially, with the potential to grow and lead a larger team in the future. You will be responsible for ensuring our clients are onboarded smoothly and efficiently onto Taxually’s tax return compliance services.
This role requires both hands-on client-facing work and leadership oversight, including task delegation, process improvement, and proactive cross-department collaboration. You will be the primary driver of onboarding success and play a critical role in demonstrating the value of Taxually’s services to new customers.
What you\’ll be doing
Here are a few hints on what you are expected to do at Taxually:
- Lead the U.S. onboarding function, managing one direct report with potential for additional team members.
- Communicate regularly with clients to guide them through onboarding and ensure a seamless experience.
- Secure third-party access to client state tax accounts; both existing tax registration and assisting with new registrations.
- Prepare and deliver weekly onboarding status reports to ownership, demonstrating client progress and onboarding success.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline onboarding and enhance client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain onboarding policies and procedures to standardise best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to remove client blockers and ensure timely service delivery.
- Contact U.S. tax authorities when required
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively and work is delivered to a high standard.
What skills will be useful
- Close to native/Professional English language knowledge
- Experience in sales and use tax with an understanding of registration requirements
- Experience in training or managing people
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent organisation & communication skills
- Extremely reliable with administration
- Proactive, accountable, and results-oriented with a solution-driven attitude
- Flexible personality, comfortable with shifting priorities and fast-paced environments
Why join Taxually?

We enjoy a very flat structure, which offers a genuine opportunity for serious career growth and to learn from some of the leading minds in our field. We\\\’re an ambitious, close-knit, hardworking team with big growth plans, ensuring this is a great time to join us on our path to make a big impact on the further success of the wider business.
Don\\\’t meet all of the role requirements?
Don\\\’t worry! We care about outcomes rather than tickbox criteria, and it\\\’s often the case that the perfect person for the role has a CV that looks a little different.
Research (by Harvard University) shows that women are particularly likely to second-guess themselves and not apply — so if you’re worried you don’t meet all the criteria, get in touch anyhow and let us do the worrying.
At Taxually, we are committed to building a company that includes people from a variety of different backgrounds. We\\\’re particularly interested in hearing from people from typically underrepresented groups in the tech industry.
