Opportunity for Impact

We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Information Reporting to serve as the bridge between complex tax regulations and our commercial success. This is a multi-disciplinary role where you will act as the "technical brain" for our Go-To-Market (GTM) team, a strategic advisor for Client Implementations, and a core logic architect for our Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) product suite. The ideal candidate possesses deep domain expertise in IRS Chapter 3 & 4 (FATCA), CRS, CARF, and domestic information reporting (1099/1042-S series), with the ability to translate these requirements into actionable product logic and winning sales narratives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with our sales and business development team to execute the go to market expansion strategy, developing enablement materials and providing the necessary tax subject matter expertise training for new regulations.
  • Engage directly with prospects, with particular focus on accelerating or expanding the largest and/or most strategic deals for Taxbit qualifications.
  • Partner with Marketing to produce white papers, webinars, and thought-leadership content regarding regulatory shifts (e.g., CARF, 1099-DA, or changes to DAC7). Monitor the regulatory landscape to identify market gaps and help position our product as the premier solution for compliance.
  • Partner with Customer Operations to drive engagements and implementations of the Tax Enterprise Platform.
  • Provide customer and internal support during peak filing seasons, troubleshooting complex filing errors and interpreting IRS/Global jurisdiction schemas.
  • Conduct workshops for the Customer Success team to level up their understanding of withholding and reporting nuances.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their business, processes, and products through proactive communication and in depth discovery.
  • Work with Taxbit Engineering and Product teams to ensure accuracy of data integration and completeness of client data.
  • Support our Product Team by defining and documenting business requirements for our AEOI (FATCA/CRS) engine, ensuring the software correctly handles the rules and output.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to prioritize features based on upcoming regulatory deadlines and global reporting changes.
  • Validate that product outputs (Forms 1099, 1042-S, and XML files) meet the rigorous standards of global tax authorities.

Professional Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of income tax experience working in public accounting or industry.
  • Degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Exceptional organizational and management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and disparate information.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail and thoroughness in approach.
  • Team player who is eager to roll up their sleeves and contribute from day 1; brings a great attitude, work‑ethic, and eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Experience working with data and various data analysis tools in order to organize and normalize data for solution development; proficiency with Excel is a must and working knowledge of SQL, VBA, and business intelligence tools like Alteryx is a plus.
  • Ready to identify and perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong desire to keep up with emerging issues, news, and best practices within the industry.
  • Aptitude to learn new industry skill sets; primarily digital assets, accounting, and finance.
