A leading and growing accountancy practice with offices across Central and Southern England is seeking a Trust Tax Manager to join their specialist tax team in Thame. This is an exciting opportunity to join a people‑first firm renowned for its friendly, high‑performing culture and technical excellence, particularly in the agricultural, landed estates, and private client sectors.
The Role
- You will manage a varied portfolio of UK trusts and estates, delivering both compliance and advisory services.
- The position offers strong scope for progression, exposure to complex work, and flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual trust tax returns and trust accounts for a diverse client base.
- Review inheritance tax returns, including periodic and exit charges.
- Assist with trust‑related advisory work and respond to technical queries.
- Manage ongoing trust compliance, including Trust Registration Service updates.
- Liaise directly with clients and attend trustee meetings as required.
- Support senior trust team members on wider trust matters.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 3+ years’ UK post‑qualification experience.
- Strong background in trust tax and accounts preparation.
- Experience in the agricultural or landed estates sectors is desirable.
- Comfortable managing client relationships and complex portfolios.
- Detail‑oriented, commercially minded, and a confident communicator.
- Familiarity with CCH tax software is a bonus.
