Large independent accountancy firm seeks a tax specialist with sound compliance skills. You will need mixed tax experience along with management skills to help develop the current team and expand the continuous growth of the client base. The primary objective of the Assistant Manager or Manager is to play an integral part within the existing tax team in delivering tax compliance services to clients.
Day to day this will include:
- Provision of Tax compliance and advisory services where appropriate
- Supporting the tax advisory function, both personal and corporate tax
- Identifying opportunities to introduce other service lines within the business
- Utilising technology where appropriate
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including interaction with clients and colleagues to ensure all deadlines (client & statutory) are met
- Planning and managing the tax compliance function to ensure that clients are compliant, and all calculations submitted are accurate and timely
- Revising technical and financial assessments prepared by other members of the team
- Identifying other opportunities from your review of the company records and preparation of tax calculations
This role would suit someone who is ATT or CTA qualified with experience working in UK tax compliance. This is a growing team with scope for promotion. Would consider someone with pure personal tax experience. Unfortunately, this client is unable to sponsor for a visa so requires candidates with the right to work in the UK.
