An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Corporate Tax Associate (1-3 PQE) to join a highly regarded private capital and tax practice in London. This role offers the chance to work closely with founders, entrepreneurs, privately owned businesses, investors and international clients on a broad range of sophisticated UK and cross-border tax matters. The team advises founders, entrepreneurs and owners of private capital on structuring their business and personal affairs to maximise returns, efficiency and long-term wealth preservation. Clients range from privately owned businesses and family offices to international investors and institutions across sectors including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, media, telecommunications and financial services. The practice advises on domestic and international business structuring, investments, acquisitions, reorganisations and ongoing commercial matters, often acting as trusted advisers across a client's wider legal and commercial affairs.
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of UK corporate tax matters and work closely with colleagues across corporate, private client, employment and real estate teams. Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising UK and international businesses on corporate tax matters
- Assisting with cross-border investment and business structuring
- Providing tax support on domestic and international transactions
- Advising on the tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations
- Drafting and negotiating tax deeds, warranties and related documentation
- Delivering practical, commercial and technically robust tax advice
- Building strong relationships with clients and professional intermediaries
- Taking an active role in business development initiatives
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- 1-3 years' PQE in corporate tax
- Experience advising on UK corporate tax matters
- Exposure to transactional tax work
- Recent experience of cross-border corporate tax structuring
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Ability to build strong client relationships and manage matters effectively
- Strong team-player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
