A highly regarded accountancy firm with a strong presence across the North West is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager into their growing tax team. Following a recent senior hire to strengthen leadership and drive the function forward, the firm is entering an exciting phase of growth and development, with a clear focus on enhancing their corporate tax offering. The team works closely with the wider audit and accounts function, with much of their work generated from an established client base.

In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of corporate tax clients, predominantly SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger group structures, including some overseas elements. Your responsibilities will focus on the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, alongside tax accounting and compliance work. You will work closely with audit and accounts teams, ensuring a joined-up service offering, and will also gain exposure to senior stakeholders including Partners and Directors. While the role is primarily compliance-focused, there will be opportunities to support on advisory work as you develop. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior looking to step up to Assistant Manager.

You will have a strong grounding in corporate tax compliance, with experience managing your own portfolio and dealing with billing processes. You will be organised, proactive and able to manage your workload effectively, demonstrating a self-starting approach. Experience with systems such as Alphatax or CCH is beneficial, although not essential. The firm is open on qualifications, and candidates who are part-qualified will be considered.
