Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading firm of chartered accountants as they look to add a Personal Tax Senior / Team Leader to their team in Sidcup. This represents an excellent opportunity to join a leading Tax department in Kent where you will deal with the UK personal tax affairs of high-net-worth individuals, sole traders and partnerships, trusts and estates. Work closely with the Tax Partner and Manager to provide excellent service to their client base.

The role will ensure all tax compliance matters are dealt with such as Personal Tax (along with partnership and trust) Returns, CGT Property Returns, P11d returns, ATED and Employment Related Securities as well as assisting with delivering ad-hoc advisory projects for their clients.

The ideal candidate may be ATT qualified or at the latter stages, CTA qualified or may be studying towards the CTA at present and will have a wealth of experience in Personal Tax work. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful individual to join a well-regarded and forward-thinking firm in Sidcup as a Personal Tax Senior in a mixed compliance and advisory role, where there will be genuine scope for career development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact
  • Preparation and review of personal tax returns
  • Providing guidance, training and support to junior staff
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities for individuals and trusts
  • Assisting the partners with tax consulting work relevant to HNWI and trusts when required

Skills

  • ATT Qualified / CTA Part or Fully Qualified (QBE will also be considered)
  • Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment
