Tax Director or Partner - Leamington Spa, Nuneaton or Stratford Upon Avon

Our client is a longstanding independent firm. They seek a Tax Director or Partner to join their Tax Team. In this role you will deal with family businesses and their shareholders, family offices, OMB’s and their owners, Individuals and a wide range of businesses including UK clients expanding overseas. This role is advisory focused. Day to day it will include projects such as;

• Restructuring corporate groups, IHT and estate planning, disclosures of Income Tax/Corporate Tax, UK real estate tax issues and planning opportunities, offshore tax mitigation planning.
• Business development – pitches to new and existing clients and targets. Also, networking, presenting at client seminars, writing of articles and marketing materials.
• Liaison with HMRC including dealing with Tax Enquiries.
• Management of a Tax Department including mentoring and development of more junior staff, billing targets and budgeting.
• Review and sign off of more complex compliance.
• Being a tax resource to other partners in the firm.
• Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients and internal teams on their implications, as well as keeping up with technology advances.
• Fostering a culture of CPD.

Applications welcomed from those with a personal or mixed tax background and a relevant qualification (ACA, ICAS, CTA, ACCA, former Inspector etc). An excellent opportunity to be part of the next stage of development of this practice. This firm works on a hybrid basis and on a 34 hour week with staff taking Friday afternoons off. Would consider an experienced Director looking for a step up to partnership.
