A highly regarded and long-established independent accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced
Tax Accountant to join its growing tax team in Tunbridge Wells.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA qualified tax professional, or someone with significant high-level tax experience, to work across a broad range of advisory and compliance matters for an impressive and varied client portfolio.
The role offers exposure to both personal and corporate tax work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to further develop their technical expertise.
The Role
Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues, you'll provide high-quality tax advice and support across a diverse client base including private individuals, owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.
Key responsibilities include
- Delivering advice across a broad range of tax areas, including personal tax, corporate tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and estate planning.
- Preparing and reviewing tax computations, tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
- Researching complex tax issues and providing technical guidance to colleagues and clients.
- Liaising directly with HMRC regarding enquiries, disclosures and compliance matters.
- Assisting with corporate restructuring projects and wider advisory assignments.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have
- CTA qualification (or significant high-level tax experience gained within practice).
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of UK taxes.
- Experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to client service.
Experience managing a client portfolio and mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.
