Are you an experienced Corporate Tax Manager ready to step up, or an established Senior Manager looking for greater influence and progression? I'm recruiting for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a highly regarded accountancy practice in Milton Keynes. This is a varied senior-level role combining portfolio management, complex corporate tax work, advisory projects, team development and wider involvement in the continued growth of the department.
You will take responsibility for an established portfolio of corporate and business tax clients, including owner-managed businesses, private companies and subsidiaries of international groups. The role will include:
- Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of corporate and business tax clients
- Overseeing annual corporation tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Advising clients on tax risks, HMRC matters and relevant planning opportunities
- Working with complex groups and addressing related corporate tax issues
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional tax and wider business services
- Managing fees, billing and WIP across your portfolio
- Reviewing work and supporting the technical development of junior colleagues
- Completing appraisals, setting objectives and helping team members progress
- Contributing to departmental management and technical meetings
- Supporting the Partners with business development, networking and marketing activity
- Assisting with queries arising through the firm's international network
The successful candidate will be:
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
- Experienced within the corporate or business tax department of a UK accountancy practice
- Technically strong, with experience managing complex companies and groups
- Confident managing a portfolio and building trusted client relationships
- Commercially aware, with the ability to identify advisory and business development opportunities
- An experienced people manager who enjoys developing junior colleagues
- Organised and capable of managing competing deadlines
- Mixed tax knowledge would be beneficial, but strong corporate tax experience is the priority. Alphatax experience would also be useful, although training can be provided.
The Milton Keynes Corporate and Business Tax team currently consists of 12 people and works closely with colleagues across the firm's other offices. You will join a collaborative, supportive and high-performing department with genuine scope to influence its future development.
